5 Tips to help you be successful on Twitter

  1. Follow bloggers in your niche
    1. If you follow bloggers in your niche you are more likely to make friendships and retweet each others’ posts.
  2. Participate in ReTweet threads
    1. These threads help you find fellow bloggers and help you get your content out for others to see. If you follow the rules of the thread your posts will likely be commented on or retweeted.
    2. Some of these include: @bloggingbeesrt @bloggershut @sunshineblogrt @bloggerls @blogandbeyond
  3. Connect your Twitter to your blog
    1. We have been very successful, pageview wise, once we did this. For WordPress you are able to connect it before you publish your posts. We plan our posts in advance and have it set to automatically post to Twitter at the same time it posts to WordPress.
  4. Make sure your Twitter Bio is relevant
    1. If you are a blogger, you will want to say what you blog about (travel/books/fashion/photography) and leave a link to your blog. This makes you seem more professional and official.
  5. Engage with your audience
    1. If someone comments or retweets your post, Thank Them! It lets them know that they are appreciated and that you care about their input.

I hope you find these tips helpful. Happy Tweeting!

  1. I’m pretty new to Twitter, what I have had luck with is commenting on other people’s tweets. If you engage with them, they are more likely to want to follow you! Definitely good advice here, I always try to remember to # but I am still figuring that out.

  2. I consider myself to be an introvert. I find that it’s easier for me to engage with others through social media, especially twitter. I think the reason is that it allows me to be a bit more thoughtful and intentional in how I build relationships.

I like your tips here. They make total sense. Cheers.

  3. Good compilation! I would also recommend hosting other bloggers on your blog and making sure that you are doing your best to promote them too! 🙂
