A Harper Connelly Mystery: Book 2
Harper Connelly has a talent for finding dead people. In book two, Harper and Tolliver have left Sarne behind and are on their way to a college, so that Harper can ‘read’ a graveyard. This graveyard’s records have recently been found and a college professor wants Harper to tell his paranormal class how the inhabitants passed away. His goal is to prove that she is a fake. However, Harper can discern the cause of each death and at the last grave finds something unexpected. There is more than one body present and the body is of a child she was unable to find several months ago. Questions arise and Harper is thrown into a new mystery. Who placed the child in the grave and why?
This was a good story. The characters come to life off the page. There are characters that you love, characters you hate and characters that you love to hate. I enjoyed how well the story flowed and fit together. The interplay between Harper and Tolliver is ratchetted up in this book. They are not brother and sister and it is becoming obvious that they have mixed feelings about each other. The mystery was well-done and the who-done-it was played out well. The story was an easy read and hard to put down. I look forward to the next installment.
This story involves some adult content and kidnapping. If you are sensitive to these topics, this may not be the story for you.
